The Gruppo Colorobbia has produced Lead Oxide since 1971.This activity has developed during the course of the years up to the point where the company has become supplier to some of the most important and best known companies both in Italy and abroad. Today the market has spread to almost all the European nations, North Africa, the Middle East and the Far East.
Nowadays Colorobbia Lead Oxide Division operates with three production lines with a capacity of over 24.000 tons annually of material which is articulated in various types of product according to the final use.
Red Lead Oxide (Minium) is used principally as the basic element to create brigthness and clearness in glass and today it is also used in diverse manufacturing sectors such as ceramics, crystal and batteries.
The high quality of the product is strictly connected with a complete control carried out by part of Colorobbia both on the choice of the metal in ingot, as also during processing.
In particular, for the production of the Colorobbia oxides, only lead of the highest quality is used (minimum 99%, of first fusion and not antimonial). The process of oxidization in cylindrical furnaces without any possibility of external pollution and continuous control, guarantee the maximum purity and quality of the final product.
